Steel Braided Line - GL1800 Preload Adjuster

A common problem on the GL1800 is over time, air enters the line for the hydraulic preload adjuster, and it's not properly bled at the factory in the first place.

We recommend bleeding the preload adjuster and topping it off with Maxima 10 wt fork fluid, installing our new Steel Braided Line, and properly bleeding the system of any air. The benefit to you, is you'll now have the full 0-25 adjustment range on the preload adjuster. With air in the stock system, the pump is trying to compress air for a portion of its range - think of what happens when there's air in your bike's brake system. So, each bike's 'true' adjustment starts at a different place. Some at '3' on the display, some '5' and some '8' or '9'.

This USA-made, custom steel braided line replaces the poor quality OEM plastic line. The cheap OEM line tends to 'well-up' over time which allows air in the system. With our steel braided line the system will be sealed better, similar to steel braided lines in a brake system.
