Details
The IQ-170 Intelligent Lighting Controller from Skene Design allows you to instantly control the brightness of two driving or fog lights.
This controller is a perfect complement to high intensity LED driving and fog lights that are now available. Often these lights are too bright to operate at full power during the day. With the IQ-170, the rider can program the precise lamp brightness setting that he wants for daytime operation, and immediately switch from one brightness setting to the other.
Operation:
Whenever the motorcycle's high beam is switched on, the IQ-170 controller sends full power to the lamps. When the high beam is switched off, the lamps are set to a different power setting, which may easily be programmed to any of 11 different power levels, ranging from off to 100%, in 10% steps.
Additional brightness settings are supported with the use of a customer-supplied toggle/rocker switch. If a two-position switch is added, two brightness settings are available in addition to the high beam setting. If a three-position switch is used, three brightness settings are available. Each of these settings is adjustable, providing very flexible and convenient control over the lamps' brightness.
The IQ-170 can control two lamps of up to 30 watts power dissipation each, or 1 lamp of up to 60 watts dissipation. These lamps can be connected through a fuse directly to the vehicle's battery. No separate relay is required, as the controller performs this function: when you turn off the ignition, no current flows through the lights.
Installation is quick and easy, and the controller can be used with any motorcycle. A comprehensive installation guide and all necessary connectors are included.
Two-year year warranty in the event of any defect in the product, from the manufacturer, Skene Design.
