Details
That persistent side-to-side handlebar shake that is present at nearly all speeds bugging you? How about the violent deceleration wobble around 30-40 MPH? This is caused by the cheap plastic ball bearings that Honda install in the Wing. Those inadequate stock bearings are more suited to a 15 pound bicycle, than to a 900+ pound motorcycle; a cost saving trick at its best!
The All Balls bearing kit can be self-installed, but the job is much easier if you have access to a steering stem bearing driver tool. It is also very helpful to use a bearing race extractor tool to remove the races from the steering head. Similarly, the correct race press will make the install a snap. Using a log drift to remove and install the races is possible, so long as you take your time and are cautious not to scratch or nick the face of the bearing races.
